However, this 200 x 200 x 132mm polycarbonate enclosure (with a 5mm thick base) will get you through nearly anything, from a small soft starter to a mains entry box.

How does this box compare to all the others?
Weight Wise: an extra few grams can actually make an enclosure easier to machine, more impact resistant, and last longer than some of the other light-weight options out there.
Pricing: going by weight, this enclosure is going to be more cost effective now, and in the long run, than some other similar sized boxes. emf has plenty of these boxes in stock.
While we weren’t able to compare wall thicknesses in this comparison, we are assuming that higher the weight means greater wall thickness and a much more sturdy box.
To prevent your box from looking more like Swiss cheese...
(nothing against Emmentaler cheese by the way), we would recommend measuring any glanding holes as accurately as possible and, depending on what you need, we can machine them here for you on our CNC router.
