Cubo P Panel Building System is a modular, expandable system that allows customisation and efficiency when constructing. A completed Cubo P switchboard will be IP67 & IK08, making it a competitive contender for outdoor switchboards, especially outdoor residential meter & distribution boards. All non-metallic components are polycarbonate.
Extension Frame
This will add 55mm to the overall depth of an enclosure. You can add as many extension frames as you wish, but only 3 have been tested to IP67 & IK08.
Cover Plate
PCP3 or PCP4
Cover plates will fit either a 300W or 400W gap. This system allows you to completely wire and fit out your board before you close in the sides. These cover plates are also replaceable, meaning you can turn a temporary power board with outlets into a functioning MSB.
Cover
Hinging cover - Slotted (as shown), or door and frame option (only for 300W)
Fixed Cover - Grey or Transparent.
Option to turn fixed covers into hinging and latching fixed covers.
OLS42 cover screws as standard, but options include wing head, or DIN 3 head.
Cubo P Base
Four base sizes.
All bases are open on all sides, which allows you to work more efficiently on wiring and terminating the switchgear.
Bases will have 300W or 400W openings. These openings can be joined to another base with a connecting collar kit or closed up with cover plates.
Connection Collar
PCSC3 or PCSD4
Collar, Locking Pins & Cross Connector - for 300W or 400W gap.
This collar will clip between the bases you want to join. The red locking pins are what ensures an even pressure on the seal. The cross connector completes the top connection. This example only shows one connection kit; if you were to add another base the same size, you would need a connection kit for the gap above as well.
Side Support Profiles
Side rails to install din-rails at the correct height.

In this example, we needed PRE3.60 side rails to ensure the din-mounted switchgear is at the correct height for the slotted cover.
Waterproofing
Seamless hydrophobic polyurethane sealant.
Temperature range: -40... +80 °C.
Tongue & Groove join: adds another layer of waterproofing to safely pressure wash down the enclosure. Locking pins & cover screws ensure there is even pressure on the seal.
Ventilation & Condensation
Because the Ensto range of enclosures seals so well, there is a possibility of condensation forming on the inside of the switchboard. To combat this, our preferred ventilation device is the BVD22.
External Fixing
No need to drill through the back of the enclosure to install the switchboard. The inside of the enclosure is sealed separately from the mounting holes and cover screws, ensuring no water can enter the main compartment. If you are using mounting feet, install these before you put the extension frame on.
Replaceable & Expandable
The clip and pin system used to construct a Cubo P board makes it very easy to expand a switchboard by removing a cover plate and adding a connecting collar in its place to then add another base. This can be done out in the field, and only requires you to use the pull-out tool as shown above. Also see our pre-assembled modules if you need to expand a Cubo P board.
