Central Energy Trust Wildbase Recovery provides shelter and world-class care for native wildlife to rehabilitate after treatment at Massey University’s Wildbase Hospital. The design of the aviaries called for four exterior distribution boards to provide power to lighting and hot points throughout the facility as well as a temporary generator connection point. This meant that these enclosures had to be dust and waterproof with stylish design as well as being durable enough to withstand the elements and medium pressure washdown.

The Solution:
By utilising the Cubo O system, we were able to build IP65, IK08, future-proofed and practical switchboards that were fast and easy to install. The size of the enclosures means that there will be enough room to add extra circuits at a later stage should they need, with a total capacity of 8TP ways. Cubo O is well suited for the Schneider Multiclip distribution system which allows for a mixture of MCBs and RCBOs. Because Cubo O is waterproof, it allows the facility staff to be able to irrigate the gardens and clean the Aviary without causing any electrical issues or failures.
