Pump Shed Switchboard

This pump shed board was in real need for repairs. It had been expanded to some degree and had started to look like ‘the house that Jack built’. Over the years, various sized enclosures had been bolted on, to accommodate new pump controllers and equipment. It finally got to the stage where the whole system had to be fully upgraded before it either disintegrated or caused an electrical failure. This project was run on a tight budget so emf ADAPT assembled this switchboard incorporating new circuit breakers and distribution but re-used the existing control contactors and timers.
The Solution:
By installing a new switchboard, the client was able to include their flow meters and new circuits all in a waterproof, dustproof switchboard with room for future expansion. Cubo P is IP67, IK08 and NZUV Rated, which means that this pump shed’s electrical system will be well protected and expandable for a very long time. Often, upgrades like this are avoided because of the extra cost compared to just tek-screwing a starter enclosure to the wall beside the existing board. However, when you can show a client how much safer, reliable, and future-proofed a proper solution would be, it makes it an easily justified decision.
