The Palmerston North council needs various pump stations located around the city. These pump stations have been requested by the local council to be safe, sturdy and water-proof since they will be located in public areas.
An existing storm water pump was to be connected to this pump station switchboard to drain excess water at Vautier Park. 63A main switch, 32A, 5 pin generator inlet, a generator changeover switch and cabinet lighting was also required along with a kiosk to house the pump station.
The Solution:
A series of lockable 3mm Aluminium powder coated kiosks 1850 x 1100 and 550mm deep (to make it harder to push over) was ordered to house the various pump station switchboards. The peaked cover of the kiosk allows the water to run off without getting inside and prevents any objects being put on the top of the kiosk.
The kiosks were also deigned with a small access panel at the bottom to allow generator inlets to be plugged in and the main kiosk door can remain locked.
The kiosks are rated at IP55, IK10 and up to 630A.
